The Centre for Communication and Media Research was founded in 2020 to facilitate innovative interdisciplinary research into various forms of media and their impact on past, present, and future societies across the globe. At CCMR we task ourselves with creating a collaborative research environment in order to critically engage with questions around media ecologies, visual cultures, and the broader socio-economic and geopolitical consequences of digital technologies.
In 2021 the centre is set to host its first annual conference and launch an online publishing platform. We are committed to continually expanding our research output and outreach, and therefore we welcome opportunities to collaborate on joint projects with other institutions, researchers, and practitioners driven by the most pressing questions around media and mediation.
